Signup is free and takes about 4 minutes. You record a 60-second video, fill out a short profile, and your listing goes live to employers right away.
Is this a real job or some kind of scam?+
Real jobs. Every employer on HireByVoice is paying a subscription to post roles and contact VAs. We don't allow commission-only schemes, paid-training scams, or 'work from home and earn $$$' opportunities.
If an employer's role looks fake, contact us at support@hirebyvoice.com and we'll investigate.
Do I need to be from the Philippines?+
No. HireByVoice works globally. We're especially strong in the Philippines, Latin America, India, and Africa, but VAs from any country can sign up. Your time-zone overlap and English level are what matter to employers, not your passport.
Do I need a degree?+
No. Most employers care about three things: your English, your specific skills (customer support, sales, bookkeeping, etc.), and whether you sound reliable on the video. A degree helps but isn't required.
How long does it take to land a role?+
It depends on you. The fastest VAs apply to multiple roles and reply to inquiries within a few hours.
VAs who actively apply land roles roughly 3x faster than VAs who only wait for employers to message them. Apply, don't wait.
Video or audio - which should I pick?+
Both work, but video gets you in front of more employers. Video clips appear in the live feed where most employers discover VAs - that's a TikTok-style scroll, and it only shows video. Audio-only profiles still appear in browse and search, just not in the feed. If you can record video (computer or phone, lighting doesn't matter), do it. If you can't right now, an audio intro still gets you visible - you can re-record with video later from your dashboard.
Employers pay you directly. HireByVoice does not take a cut of your salary, ever.
How much does HireByVoice cost me?+
Free. Always. We make money from employer subscriptions, not from VAs. You will never be charged a fee, a percentage, or asked for payment to use HireByVoice.
How will I get paid?+
Directly by your employer using whatever payment method you both agree on. Common options: PayPal, Wise (TransferWise), Payoneer, Western Union, or local bank transfer.
HireByVoice does not process the payment - we just connect you. The exact method, currency, and pay schedule are between you and your employer.
When will I get paid?+
Most employers pay weekly or every two weeks. We strongly recommend asking for weekly pay during your first month with a new employer - it limits your risk if anything goes wrong, and it's a normal request.
What if my employer doesn't pay me?+
Contact us at support@hirebyvoice.com immediately. We mediate disputes and we have removed employers from the platform for non-payment.
Read our full payment-protection policy at /policies/payment-protection for what we'll do, what we can't do, and how to protect yourself.
How does HireByVoice make money?+
Employer subscriptions. Explore (free), Hiring ($69/mo), and Scale ($99/mo) plans give employers different levels of messaging access and role posts. We never take a cut of your salary.
What kind of jobs are on HireByVoice?+
Common roles include: customer support, cold calling and sales, executive assistance, bookkeeping, data entry, social media management, content writing, video editing, lead research, and CRM admin.
Most are part-time (10-30 hrs/week) or full-time. A few are project-based.
Is this commission-based?+
No. Every role on HireByVoice is a salaried job - hourly or monthly. We do not allow commission-only or pay-for-performance posts. If you see one, report it to support@hirebyvoice.com.
Will there be interviews?+
Yes. After an employer messages you, they'll usually want a 15-30 minute video call (Zoom, Google Meet, or similar) before hiring. Some employers do a short paid trial week to test fit.
Can I work for multiple employers?+
Yes, as long as the hours don't overlap. We recommend starting with one employer to build a track record and reviews. Once you're confident, you can take on a second part-time role.
How do you verify employers?+
Employers go through manual review before they can post roles. Hiring-plan and Scale-plan employers receive a Verified badge after we confirm their company and contact details.
When you receive a message, look for the badge on the employer's name in your inbox.
What if I have a dispute with an employer?+
Contact support@hirebyvoice.com with the employer's name, the role, and what happened. We mediate disputes - we listen to both sides and propose a resolution. In cases of clear non-payment for completed work, we will remove the employer.
What if I put inaccurate information on my profile?+
We manually review profiles. If we find that you've misrepresented your skills, English level, or experience, your account will be suspended. You also risk being unmatched by employers who depended on those skills - which doesn't help you. Be honest; the platform works for VAs who are.
Can I pause my profile temporarily?+
Yes. From Account settings, set your profile to Paused - your data is preserved, you keep your conversations and applications, but you stop appearing in the feed and search. Toggle back to Active anytime.
Can I delete my account?+
Yes. From Account settings, choose Delete account. This is permanent - your profile, recordings, applications, and message history will be removed. We can't restore deleted accounts. Use Pause instead if you only want a break.
How do I improve my chances of landing a role?+
Apply actively to multiple roles instead of waiting. Reply to employer messages within 6 hours. Keep your profile complete (skills, industries, hourly rate, English level all filled). Re-record your video clip if your old one is shaky or low-energy.
Most importantly: video over audio. Employers scroll the feed and only see video clips.
